Happy Publication Day to Audrey Schulman and Steve Erickson

Set in East Africa, Audrey Schulman's "ingeniously plotted" (Shelf Awareness) Three Weeks in December recounts the stories of two individuals who are separated by more than a century but whose destinies will come together in the most unexpected way. Steve Erickson's These Dreams of You is an emotionally charged and touching portrait of a contemporary American family in whose story the history and fate of a nation is reflected. "Erickson expertly weaves together themes of music, politics, and idealism in a modern story where preconceptions are outdated." (Publishers Weekly) Both novels are available everywhere books are sold as of yesterday. These Dreams of You is reviewed in this Sunday's New York Times Book Review and Three Weeks in December in next Sunday's.

PURE wins 2011 Costa Best Novel Award and Costa Best Book of the Year Award
Andrew Miller’s new novel Pure has won the prestigious Costa Book of the Year Award. Miller defeated four authors for the prize, including Britain’s Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy. The Award recognizes the most enjoyable book of the past year by writers in the U.K. and Ireland. Pure was previously awarded the Costa Award for Best Novel on January 3rd. Miller’s story, which is set in late 18th century Paris with France on the brink of revolution, was described by the judges “as a novel without a weakness from an author who deserves a wider readership.” Europa Editions will publish Pure in June.

Ahoy Sara Levine, author of Treasure Island!!!
The third title from Europa's Tonga Books, Sara Levine's comic Treasure Island!!! has been delighting readers since its publication pre-holidays. It's been helped along by some fantastic reviews. San Francisco Chronicle: "'Treasure Island!!!' is unstoppably funny." Los Angeles Review of Books: "A wild, funny, rambunctiously surprising look at what happens when the very thing needed to shake up a life does its job far too well." New York Times Book Review: "Levine is a wonderful storyteller with a vibrant voice. 'Treasure Island!!!' is a rollicking tale, shameless, funny and intelligent."

Alina Bronsky's first novel to be made into a movie
