Author of For Grace Received (winner of the 2005 Renato Fusini Prize, the 2006 Zerilli-Marimò City of Rome Prize, and among the finalists for Italy’s most prestigious literary award, the Strega) Valeria Parrella will be appearing with such literary luminaries as A.M. Homes and Siri Hustvedt at numerous events in the New York area beginning this Sunday, the 13th, at the Brooklyn Book Festival. Full schedule of events below.
Valeria Parrella was born in 1974 in Naples. Since the publication in 2003 of her debut short story collection, Fly and Whale, winner of the Campiello Prize, she has been widely regarded as one of Italy's most exciting young authors. Parrella is the author of the novels The White Space (2008) and The Verdict, in addition to her prize-winning collection, For Grace Received.
