Thanks to our friends at independent booksellers across the country
The Elegance of the Hedgehog has reached eighth place on the nationwide
independent booksellers bestseller list. Independent booksellers have been hugely supportive of Europa Editions from the very beginning, but all of us here would like to express our special thanks for their efforts on behalf of the Hedgehog.
We'd like nothing better than to take a long road trip across the country to thank each and every bookseller and store manager personally. Alas! The next best thing is a virtual tour of the country making online stops at booksellers' mentions of the Hedgehog that have caught our attention.

The alternating voices of Renee, 54-year old concierge of an upscale Paris apartment building, and Paloma, precocious 12-year old resident of said building, together tell a story that is a treatise on the meaning of life, the obligations of the highly intelligent, and the importance of friendship."
