Northern California Book Award in the category of translation.
The 27th Annual Northern California Book Awards will be on Sunday, April 13, in the Koret Auditorium at the San Francisco Public Library.
The Northern California Book Awards were established by NCBR (formerly the Bay Area Book Reviewers Association, or BABRA) in 1981 to honor the work of northern California writers and recognize exceptional service in the field of literature here in northern California. They are co-sponsored by the Northern California Independent Booksellers Association (NCIBA), Poetry Flash, the Center for the Art of Translation, the San Francisco Public Library, the Friends of the Library, the Mechanics Institute, and PEN West. The awards recognize excellence in newly published fiction, non-fiction, poetry, translation, and children's literature. The Translation Award is sponsored by the Center for the Art of Translation.
