The German Book Office, New York, the French-American Foundation and the Cultural Services of the French Embassy have teamed up on an interesting and hopefully fruitful initiative to be held over three days, September 16-18, in New York. In order to reinforce relationships between French and German and American publishing professionals, they have collaborated in the organization of three full days of public, professional and networking events.
(From the official announcement) "Invited publishers from France and Germany will speak with American authors, visit publishing houses and participate in panel discussions and meetings with publishers, editors, translators and journalists. Featured topics include U.S. industry trends and the latest in American, French and German fiction and nonfiction."
