Europa Editions is an independent publishing house founded in 2005 with offices in New York, London, and Rome. We are one of North America’s leading publishers of international literature.
Among our authors we count five Booker Prize shortlist nominees and one winner, several Costa Book Award winners, two Pulitzer Prize winners, two winners of the Prix Goncourt, three winners of the Strega Prize, and one winner of the German Book Prize. Our titles have been named New York Times Editors Picks, and New York Times Notable Books of the Year; they have also appeared on the New York Times Bestseller list, the National Indiebound Bestsellers list, and countless regional bestseller lists.

INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION
Internship Duration: 4 months
Hours: approx. 30 hours/week, minimum 4 days/week
Supervisor: Editor in chief, Michael Reynolds; Rachael Small, Director of Publicity
Successful candidate will be supervised by our director of publicity and by Europa's Editor in chief. He or she will gain experience in many aspects of the daily running of the publishing house. These may include but are not limited to: scheduling, preparing marketing and publicity material, assisting in the organization of author events and publicity campaigns, direct-to-consumer marketing through social media and newsletters, editing, copy writing, proof reading, title presentation, and manuscript evaluation. Successful candidates will be prepared for entry-level positions in publishing.
The internship is unpaid but does offer a stipend of $350/month, a monthly metropass (or equivalent), and free copies of Europa publications.
