And a little further down the road, Redgrave lends her stately cadences to a free reading of Michele Zackheim’s novel, “Last Train to Paris.” The acclaimed actress will read sections from the book about a female American journalist in pre-World War II France.
Redgrave is one of those actors who could read the phone book and get great notices. Happily, she has better material.
Zackheim can’t wait to hear her breathe life into it.
“Will it be a voice with the twang of the Rocky Mountains?” wonders the author. “An American voice that has lived in Paris for many years? Knowing Vanessa’s work, it will be both a surprise and a pleasure.”
