Margherita Dolce Vita (Europa Editions 2006), Stefano Benni, one of the best known and loved Italian authors of his generation, meets Jonathan Coe, best-selling and multi awards-winning author of
What a Carve Up (Viking 1994) and
The Rotters Club (Viking 2001). His latest book is
The Closed Circle (Penguin paperback 2005). Event to be held at the
Italian Cultural Insititue in London on Monday the 13th of November. Chaired by Enrico Franceschini, London correspondent of the Italian daily newspaper
La Repubblica.
Theatre... Benni's play Misterioso—A journey into the silence of Thelonius Monk, will be on stage at the
Camden People’s Theatre from 9th to 12th November. An event that explores the magic of a Jazz concert fused with the spellbinding words of Italian writer Stefano Benni, the interactive projections of SDNA, the postmodern Misterioso Buffo of Frank Millward and the mysterious notes of Benet McLean, Orphy Robinson, Rowland Sutherland and Filomena Campus.
