This May Europa Editions launches its World Noir series, featuring the best in international crime fiction. The new series will publish 3 to 4 new crime titles each season, but will begin with a BANG this summer with a total of fifteen titles, eight redesigned classics from the europa list (reissued with new ISBNs) and seven brand new titles, including Stav Sherez's A DARK REDEMPTION (England), Philippe Georget's SUMMERTIME ALL THE CATS ARE BORED, and Zane Lovitt's THE MIDNIGHT PROMISE (Australia).
Reissues include the legendary MARSEILLES TRILOGY by Jean-Claude Izzo and Gene Kerrigan's Dublin noir novels (the latest of which, THE RAGE, recently won the CWA's Gold Dagger Award.)
In anticipation of the World Noir launch, Europa is releasing a special international crime fiction reader. The reader contains a variety of essays, excerpts, and interviews, such as: an overview of contemporary Italian crime writers by Carl Bromley, an excerpt from Israeli diplomat and artist Benjamin Tammuz's MINOTAUR, and Gene Kerrigan's reflections on Dublin as a crime city. We've also created a Crime City Dossier that provides statistics and a "perfect protagonist" for each infamous location.
A digital edition of the World Noir reader is also available: download the
epub (Nook),
mobi (Kindle) or
PDF versions here.

It promises to be a criminally good summer.
